She holds in her hands,
A once forsaken heart.
She holds in her hands,
A treasure finally discovered,
Lost in the dark.
Robotic, bound, indifferent,
The world fades to gray.
She stands at the divider,
Her obscure heart forbidden to stray.
Waves of longing crash
Against her hearts inner walls,
The song in her mind falls silent,
Only then does she hear the call.
The sun rises from the stifle,
Her oblivion lifted away,
Its kind hands find her in the darkness,
Thawing out her heart,
Its presence, a warm home to lay.
With a smile like a sunrise,
Incandescent, lighting the sky aflame,
Igniting the path for her suppressed eyes,
Bringing her life,
Giving her a name.
In a soft caress of adoration,
The sun wrapping her humanity in the highest of regard,
Mending her broken trust,
Freeing her from the past,
And all of her scars.
The world fading back to gray,
Distance starves her growing heart,
With only a line keeping them apart,
And a million stars to conduct her way.
Her heart taken from her hands,
Roaming far across the land,
She remains there an empty shell.
The sun will one day return,
Leaving her soul there to yearn,
and her being ordered to dwell.
A once forsaken heart.
